Salvage Hunters at Harwich Redoubt Fort
11 MAR 2016 – Press Release.
The Harwich Society was approached by the makers of the TV programme, Salvage Hunters, who had identified the Redoubt Fort as a perfect location for their programme and, as a result, filmed at the listed ancient monument and around Harwich in general at the end of last year.
The programme involves visits to old buildings where surplus and neglected items may be identified and purchased before being restored and sold on. This occurred at the Redoubt Fort and the outcome will be screened on Wednesday 16th March at 9PM.
Harwich Society chairman, Colin Farnell, says, “The Redoubt Fort is gaining a reputation as a great location to film and Historic Harwich has no shortage of photogenic locations. Hopefully, many people who watch Salvage Hunters will like what they see and visit as a result.”
Salvage Hunters is broadcast on Quest which can be found on Sky channel 144 and Free View channel 37.
